Our client is in search of an Accountant who has strong overall general accounting skills as well as functional multi-state sales and use tax experience. A Day In The Life
In this role, you will be a key member of an established 5-person accounting team. You will be expected to be an excellent communicator with both peers and leadership - and possess robust general accounting knowledge. The key factor in this role is that you know the ins and outs of multi-state sales and use tax.
You can expect to take ownership of numerous responsibilities, including but not limited to:

  • Managing the general ledger
  • Conducting monthly profit and loss account analysis
  • Assisting with month end closing and yearly audit
  • Verifying and entering purchase order invoices for both domestic and international vendors
  • Handling price and quantity inconsistencies
  • Analyzing goods receipts not invoiced for domestic and international vendors
Job Requirements
  • 5+ years of accounting, finance, or auditing experience. Prior, or current, public accounting experience is a plus
  • Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Familiarity with general ledger accounting and reconciliations
  • You possess excellent communication skills. You can communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, including leadership, your coworkers, and customers.
  • Manufacturing industry experience a plus
  • A strong working knowledge with MS Office, including demonstrable expertise with Excel
  • Strong analytical skills

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
